Paraklete Partnership is a new business in the north-west of England offering innovative health & safety help, advice and guidance. It is a family business run by Laurence & Brenda Sandman.
The fish symbol was used by the early Christian church to identify places where the local church met. It is derived from the letters of the greek word for 'fish' - ICHTHUS - which, in English, stand for 'Jesus Christ, God's Son, Saviour'. We have used it as an integral part of our logo to signify that we are born-again Christians and recognise that we are 'co-workers with God' (1 Cor 3:9) - see below.
'Paraklete' is derived
from the Greek word parakletos {par-ak'-lay-tos}
meaning:
The practical legal aspects of setting up a business in the UK meant that a partnership was the most sensible solution for our business. However, we also liked the way that it reflected our recognition that, as Christians, we work alongside God. The apostle Paul also recognised this fact almost two thousand years ago when he wrote to the church at Corinth: 'For we are God's fellow-workers' and 'As God's fellow-workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain.' -1 Cor 3:9 & 2 Cor 6:1).
